No magic!

Hopefully most of my readers know what I mean when I say I was hoping for an Incredible Hulk type transformation today when I went under the radio-logical x ray scanner today. No, I didnt want to come out large, green, and very angry, but I’m sure you get my drift. No, I was hoping to come out as a delightfully pretty, talented dancer, in her early 30’s, just like Clara Elaine Johnson.

Thats right, unsurprisingly, it didnt happen! In truth, it was a very simple, very painless process, other than that I had to raise my knees a long way (thankfully supported), but they didnt object to that, I’m delighted to say. Most painful bit in fact, was the lack of help from First Buses to get there in the first place. Yes, made it in time, but it was a struggle.

Oh fine, finding out I weighed a few pounds more (about 7) than I thought I did wasnt good, but I’ll survive!

Well, I’m more or less ready to go, things that can be put away tonight are done, rest I need in the morning, so will be done then. Now, if I can get my head around accepting the idea that I need to be wheeled around in a wheelchair, all will be fine! If anyone can help scramble my mind to accept that fact, feel free to do so, I’d enjoy it!

So this is it, the last UK blog for a while. By the time they return, hopefully I wont have been visited by Hurricane Irma, and I will have been a wonderful bridesmaid. I would say that hopefully I can find a mad scientist (or a visit to MIT) who can transform me into said young, and pretty Miss Johnson, but as they say, thats wishful thinking, I’m sure!

Right, video time. What didnt happen to me when those rays scanned my body earlier today lol!

Inside the repair pod

Yes, I know, I only wish that was true! No, I didnt even get to be slid into one of those scanning machines for my X-Rays, just laid on a bed, in a couple of positions, and then, that was it. And no, I dont know how ugly the pictures of my back, and side were, will be a week or two before the doctors get the results of them. Of course, if they dont like what they see, I might get a whole new cybernetic back. Yes, in my dreams only, I’m sure. But yes, I would, given the chance, and 2 new knees to match too! Hopefully I wont need major surgery on my back, as well as my knees, but if I do, so be it!

To be fair, I did realize that I wasnt going to get slid into any of the more interesting scanners, just to have first images done of my lower back area. So yes, just got to lay on a bed, firstly on my back, then on my side while they took some pictures, then back home. I know, those scanners where they slide you in, and I could have fantasized they were doing something wicked to my mind would have been a lot more fun, but anyway…never going to happen, was it?

And to be fair, I’m probably the only person who would prefer to be sealed in a pod, while the pictures were taken, or while having my body healed, especially the former, aren’t I? Not sure that sort of thing even exists, beyond my wild imagination, but oh my, that would be wonderful!

In truth, that was my first X-Ray for 30 years, though I’m pretty sure the next one will be a lot sooner than that, as I’m sure they will take a look at my knees, before the inevitable joint replacement surgery gets done, which I can put off for now, but I suspect not a lot longer!

But yes, if anyone wants a volunteer to try out a radical new healing pod, that requires a human volunteer to stay in, for some hours, while the work is done, please count me in, I’d love it!

OK, the video. Well, inevitably, if a pod was created that could heal your body, it could probably do interesting things to your mind as well, if desired. And this video is just so out of left field, that concept is more an excuse to use it, than actually tampering with my mind, not that I would mind if someone did. Oh, and the next time they need someone to wear that cat outfit, to make a video… 😉
