Its a mixed up, muddled up world

Oh fine, I might have wanted to avoid one of the great faux pas of the year, but OK, I cant resist. And besides its not really British/EU politics, well not in a genuine sense at least.

You must have heard about it, on the Donald Trump show (supposedly the 4th of July parade) in Washington, he claimed that the American troops, in 1776 captured the airports from the British. Well, in truth, he could have been talking about the 1812 war, as his speech was a bit confusing, but either way, there weren’t a lot of airports back then, as it wasnt until about 100 years after the latter that planes were even invented.

The memes relating to this have gone crazy on social media, unsurprisingly, I’m sure you must have seen them. Despite some classics, including Washington as a Jet Fighter pilot, I think my favourite was actually the American Airlines Stewardess from 1776, because hey, I loved the ‘uniform’ from that era! Would I wear it, you bet I would!

I’m not going to beat him down any more over this, everyone has already beaten me to it, lets face it. But I’ll break the bad news to him, that Britain intends to invade shortly, using our nice fleet of hyper-sonic space craft that have just arrived from 2219. As for the missiles they have, oh wow…

So, while we’re having some mixed up, muddled up air travel, from either 1776, or from 2219, lets go with a song in support of my LGBT brothers and sisters, which I know Donald would hate. Well, unless they’re very young, seemingly! No, not proved, but Epstein is a ‘very good friend’ of his, so you have to wonder, especially given what he said about his daughter, but besides that…

maybe I should change the line to ‘Girls can be robots’ or ‘Girls can be aliens’ lol? Hmm?

Who’s going to fly you home?

I just hope no one takes this as bad taste, given where the death happened, but seriously, with what his extra challenge in life was,  its just all too apt.

Yesterday was the day, in an ideal world, I would have been in Pine Bush, New York, for their UFO based celebration event. Its fair to say that even if my brain hadnt gone faulty a couple of months ago, I probably wouldnt have got there this year. Assuming that I’m still permitted to fly to the US post neurologist visit next month, it might remain on the calendar for next year, and being realistic, it doesnt look like I will need to book time off work by then. Money might be more of an issue, so if a passing alien has a space in a flying saucer heading to the event then, yes, I’d love to hitch a ride! Hey, having to wear (temporary, or permanent) a full body alien body suit would only be seen as a bonus. But yes, if I do it, regardless of any spacecraft, a really good alien bodysuit will be an absolute must!

Therefore there was a certain amount of irony this morning when I got up, switched on the laptop to discover that one of the most famous Ufologist’s, Stanton Friedman had passed away yesterday at the age of 84. Why the earlier comment? Well, he passed away at Toronto Airport, on his way home from giving a talk. No, he was flying on a standard plane, honest he was!

Never heard of him? Well, in all likelihood, without him, we would never have had the theory of the Roswell incident, back in 1947, when of course its supposed an Alien space craft crashed near Roswell, New Mexico, and the US Government tried to cover it all up. Even today, over 70 years on, the whole area is shrouded in secrecy. No, I wasnt on that craft, but if, according to Eric at least, any of my relatives were, is an entirely different matter, lol! In truth, I doubt we will ever know if they did, or didnt, lets face it.

He worked on classified projects for many years, so if anyone knew, or suspected it was true, he’d be high on the list of candidates.

So RIP Mr Friedman, probably the closest we’ve ever coming to discovering more about the Roswell Incident, and now probably ever will.

I know, the song is about driving home, not flying, but it still rhymes. The other thought I had, looking at the video, at the end of Mental Health Awareness week, is just how apt it is for that too.

Loving the alien

I must admit, when I saw earlier today that today was Alien day, I assumed it was something relating to our friends from Outer Space, who according to Eric at least, include me in their numbers. Yes, I only wish! I knew there was a UFO fair somewhere near Stacie, in New York State sometime soon, but thats 3 weeks tomorrow, seemingly.

No, this one relates to the film of the same name, which was first released to the public 40 years ago today. How many sequels have we have since then? Way too many I’m sure, as Hollywood seems to lack for original ideas, lets face it.

Actually, no, I’ve never seen any of the films? Modern horror has never been a big thing for me, as I cant see the pleasure in being scared to death. I know, I went and saw ‘It’ but my disclaimer is that I had no idea what the film was about at the time I agreed to go and see it. I survived, but put it this way, I wont be rushing to see the sequel!

But yes, I knew, even before my brain went AWOL that I was getting old. When you find out that the original Alien film is now 40 years old, it doesnt make me feel any younger!

Yes, I’ll stick to trying to make contact with those aliens with flying saucers, and spaceships, who are probably likely to do nothing more horrible than anal probing (eek!), or brainwashing (which I’d enjoy too much), sorry. Talking of which, if anyone has a place on a spaceship/flying saucer, heading to Pine Bush, New York in 3 weeks time, let me know. Alien suit coming off again is purely optional! 😉

OK, video time. One of those lesser known, but very apt David Bowie tracks from long ago.

Another Pine Bush Saturday

OK, lets go crazy and give Stacie the daily double tonight, seeing she tipped me off about this, for very obvious reasons tonight, when I went to tell her about the other blog being posted!

https://pinebushufofair.com/

I would say lets get one of those money raising things done to get me there in May this year (ideally flight by UFO, though Jet Plane more practical), but in truth, its a bit of a no go. Mainly its only 6 weeks away, and that doesnt give much time, especially given (standard) air ticket would need to be purchased in advance. Secondly, its about 50 miles from where Stacie lives, and I have no idea of her availability, hotel availability, or what public transport is like in the area.

Of course, this year there is also the ‘little’ matter of my current health situation, not good. So even allowing for travel insurance (hmm, as already hold annual policy), there is the fact that its probably not wise to try and cross the Atlantic at the moment, when I regard getting into Huddersfield as a challenge! But for 2020? As its been going since 2011, there is a good chance it will happen… Well? I would definitely need to also find a really good alien suit for that too!

Maybe a friendly alien has flying saucer, space station base, and bodysuit (optional as to whether removable again) that can help me out for this year, or next? Or maybe I ask my friend Matt, at Warner Brothers, if he has a suitable alien bodysuit I could loan, somewhere around the Burbank site…?

The funniest irony? I would actually have been on holiday that day, first day of my booked May holiday! Whereas now, I’m off until at least mid June, probably a whole lot longer!

But yes, the 2020 Pine Bush UFO Fair, me there as an alien, health permitting, why, I’d love to! So yes, as I say, Stacie got the daily double today!

The video.n Well, close to the title. Most people see this as a Monkees song, and why not? Well, Carole King actually helped to write it, so…

But for those who prefer the ‘more famous’ version

I’d wear it well?

There are a couple of things responsible for tonight’s blog, one is a Facebook memory from 2 years ago (they are occasionally useful), and the other is Eric’s TV viewing this afternoon. Oh, and the outfit in the picture here, blame Stacie too! Or love her, anyway. I’d love anyone to get it for me, or something similar, thats for sure.

Anyway, there is, seemingly, something called UFO day, and it happens on 24th June for most. Seems that some celebrate 2nd July, due to first Roswell sighting, but its the former that clearly caught my eye 2 years ago. Which caused me to post, on that day…

CJ and Toddspacecraft

in tribute to said day. No, very sadly, I dont own any of them, I only wish I did, especially the more luxuriously sized one in the first picture. Unfortunately, as far as I know, alien delivery of said craft is still very much to be advised lol! 😛 Would make flying to US a whole lot easier, and quicker, for sure!

As to what I’d want to wear for the flight, well, the spacesuit that lady is wearing is pretty cool, I must say. But fine, this would be a whole lot more fun, for sure, and I would love to have this suit for myself, if anyone is offering?

alien-suit

Yeah, could you imagine the fun, an actual alien, flying a space craft like that, giggle? As I say, thanks to Stacie for that pic.

Lastly, as is his want from time, to time, Eric likes to tease me (well, I assume its tease?) by watching these programs on strange TV channels about all these Alien spacecraft and the like being seen by folks in the US. Yes, I had one of those afternoons today lol. Lets just say that if Aliens want to come and get me, give me a space flight, transform me into an alien, or just have some, err, fun with me, I’d love it. No, I’m not expecting too many obliging viewers of this blog in the Solar System, or beyond, but a lady can hope!

Equally, as I say, if someone wants to generously buy me a really nice alien suit to wear (transformation capable, or otherwise), then I would be a happy old lady!

Right, video time. What I’m sure people would say of me, wearing that alien suit, flying that spacecraft… Of course, it might be wearing me, instead of me wearing it? 😉

Come and get me, guys, you know I’d love it if you did!

Fine, silly title, relevant to most of the blog, as you will soon discover. But firstly…

My plan had been to post yesterday, given it was the centenary of 2 major events, one happy, one very sad. Given events, that caused me to need to travel over to Bradford, and back, it never happened. But I cannot go without mentioning them. The special one for me, the 100th birthday of the actress, Olivia De Havilland, probably best known to most, as Melanie, in Gone With The Wind. One of the few actresses left from that era, and almost certainly the most famous one, for that, and other roles.

The sad one, 100 years ago yesterday marked the beginning of the Battle Of The Somme, and the futile loss of so many brave young lives. Thousands died within the first hour, let alone the first day, and by the end of that battle, a million lives, on both sides had been lost. These brave men were led by fools, and deserve to be remembered for their brave gesture.

And fine, you might still have got that, but for something I discovered this morning. Yes, seriously, today is World UFO Day! Which explains the blog title, given my love of all such matters.

The first thing that amazed me, is that we actually have a World UFO Day. I mean, I can understand a few areas which might want to celebrate it, but I would have thought that if there were actually aliens here (or nearby), the last thing they’d want is publicity! Dont get me wrong, I’d love them to be real, I’d love for them to come and get me, take me on a flight, and hey, I’d certainly let them probe me as payment for that! Hey, if they want to take me on a long distance flight to their own planet, yes please! Lets face it, me, I’d see tampering with my mind, and/or body as a bonus!

Sadly, so far, no friendly (or otherwise) alien has appeared to whisk me off to their space craft, or otherwise. Believe me, I’d love you guys to turn up and do it. Bringing me back would only be optional too! No, I dont really expect it to happen, but hey, a girl can dream, on this day at least. So, if any alien should pick this blog up, I’m waiting for you to come and get me, eagerly!

The video, one of few I could think of that actually has aliens in it. I did use this before, but it was 3 years ago, and not one of the popular blogs from that era, so lets run with it again.

Not all UFO’s fly!

99 times out of 100, when anyone mentions a UFO, everyone thinks of those cute craft that aliens visit our planets in, while doing a fly by. But what do you know, I’ve found a UFO that doesnt fly, it floats! For more details, see the article

http://www.disclose.tv/news/you_can_travel_the_world_via_the_ocean_in_this_floating_ufo_home/130457

Yes, I think its fair to say, this is based on the classic UFO look, and fine, I love it. Yes, as you can guess from a few photos I’ve posted of late, I prefer the flying kind, but yes, as somewhere to live for a short time, this would be fun! No, I’m pretty sure I have as much chance of getting in one of these, as I have of getting into one of the space craft kind!

But, yes, I can think of more than a few places in the world, where living in that would be absolutely amazing. It says you can travel the world in it, though I cant see anywhere saying what the top speed is, but I doubt its very fast. But if you were in it, on the Great Barrier Reef, for example, you’d want to travel pretty slowly, I guess?

Yes, I wouldnt mind wearing an alien suit while in it, or maybe a Creature from the Black Lagoon suit would be more apt, I must admit, but just being me, might be fun.

Right, the video. I have no idea how this song ever became a one hit wonder in the seventies, but it did. It hasnt aged well, so maybe its best to pass it by, but it was about as apt a song as I could think of, for this

Oh, and lastly, for those who wondered if I would do it, yes, I have. Applied speculatively to ESPN re a certain baseball role, that is. If anyone wants to tell the Careers dept at ESPN how good a presenter I would make, feel free to do so!
