Just your imagination?

I have to be fair, and show my gratitude to someone at the MC Garden for tonight’s blog, thanks to a pertinent question he asked.

One of those things that I’ve seen that I’ve always fancied experiencing, but never have up to now, is Virtual Reality stuff. I know, those visors look a bit weird, and sadly, the full VR body suits never really seem to have caught on (cost, I’m sure), as they have been around for a couple of decades now, but I’ve never been in the right place, at the right time, so I’m still waiting, and not patiently for love. No, that song isnt the video, lol.

So forgive me if my knowledge of the field is a bit limited, but I gather you put the visor on, and what you see, isnt the real world. But like most of the modern movies, with a green screen, but anyway…

Anyway, the pertinent question asked was, if you could see yourself, in a Virtual Reality world, how would you like to see yourself, and what would you be doing? Oh fine, seeing myself as a silver robot might be fun, but unless it has the creative look of Maria, as opposed to the pure lines of Gort, its not the most exciting look, lets face it. I might enjoy it for a while, but…? Whats the point being a robot with free will, and sentient thought, lol? 😉 Maybe in the future VR will work on the mind, as well as the eyes, but not in my lifetime, I suspect.

On the other hand, seeing myself in a speakeasy bar, as a cute, young, reasonably pretty flapper, with an alcoholic drink in my hand, now wouldnt that be fun? I know, wouldnt be the real me, but even so…

Or I guess, an alien, stood by her space craft, of whatever design, just maybe?

So how would you, readers, like to see yourself? I’ll make it easy, as I gather the effort needed to post comments on here can be complex. So, if you want to post on the Facebook, or Twitter threads mentioning this blog instead, please do! But please, at least a few of you, post somewhere, pretty please!

Video time. A song that is pretty old, but not quite as old as me. But fine, finding a live version was still fun!
