Lay back, just relax, and…?

No, despite someone saying that they will rise to the challenge of literally turning me into Jean Harlow, for some good reason, I dont believe her! Mind, if she does, I would be thrilled, she would get a huge bonus, but fine, not going to happen! More on that in a moment.

First time I actually got to lay back was today. Yes, body waxing session, as the eyebrows had to be gone by Tuesday, and the rest of the body needed doing too, so got the full works! In truth, the only bits that really hurt at all (and then not too badly) was the under arms, and the bikini line, the rest, even after a long period wasnt too bad. Yes, I noticed the brows coming out, but nothing I couldnt live with. And besides, I came out years ago lol! 😛

The next session of just laying there, and letting someone do something to me, will be on Tuesday, when the ‘old lady’ goes for her semi perm make up top up session. And yes, thats the lovely lady who says I will look like Jean Harlow after she’s finished with me. Mama Jean, maybe, Baby Jean, oh I wish! Yes, that hurt the first time, but the six week top up session wasnt too bad, and hopefully the 2 year top up will be more of the same. In fact, it still looks good, but a good submissive does as she’s told, so…

The last session of just laying back on Thursday will definitely be the most pleasurable one, and again, something I really need, a much overdue massage, and facial. Good luck to Linda, she’s got her work cut out there, for sure! Yes, thats my birthday treat to myself, hint, hint… 😉 If I do nothing else beauty care wise as seriously as I used to, my body is telling me that massages will be useful all the same, as the body declines as I get older. Hard to believe that 20 years ago, a year on Thursday, I’d have hit retirement age. Now, I’ve got another 7 years to go, as things stand at present! Ah well, extra works pension will be very handy, I’m sure!

The video is a little bit of what I call Bradford’s best band. I might be biased, as they’re my era, but all the same…A different type of laying back, for sure!

Oh Harlean, you’ve gone and opened a door

Anyone that can work out the video from that title, I’m impressed. There’s a name change, for a non hit record, so…But it has a great connection.

That door I’ve opened, its the being offered a job one! Yes, after last week, and the final cracking of my head at last opening a door, its become a habit! Yes, thats right, been offered another one as well!

Last month, long before the smooth passage called being offered a job in Leeds, I went for an interview in Bradford, to work in a Civil Service Call Center in Bradford. Better hours, more money, more interesting role, but…I’ve got a job now! Thing is, these people in progressing things, dont move quickly. So yes, I’d sort of given up on them, even though those sort of places always let you know, of hearing anything positive about it. Yes, thats right, yesterday, got an email, provisionally offering me the job, subject to the standard security checks!

Alright, fine, what I’ve decided to do, is…Start this job on Monday, and see how it goes. If its great, just simply withdraw my application, screaming inwardly while doing so, and stay there. Otherwise, wait and see what happens when the checks get sorted, how I feel, and then decide which to go with. I know, knowing me, I wont move again, but while I’m in the trial period, it could be done? No, I dont like the idea of doing that, but…its the one that I want, lol, to quote a famous song.

Mind, if either wants to offer me a more interesting training method, no contest! 😉

Yes, never rains, but it pours, does it?

The video, as I say, a song from the 70’s that most, if not all of you, will never have heard. But yes, the band are from Bradford, which is the connection I’m playing up here

I’ll meet you at…

Well, according to the video, it would be at midnight, but as I’m generally sound asleep in bed by then, earlier might be wiser lol. Might make an exception for a robotising scientist I guess, but otherwise, forget it!

Yes, its that delicious irony, all those people on the forums that I’ve spoken to for years, and I’ve met 2! Thats probably 2 up on many, but in a way, its a shame. Alright, in real life, there are probably a few I wouldnt want to meet, but equally there are several that I would love to do just that with. There is one other I might have met, though without knowing it, but in all honesty, thats not really the same thing.

Twist my arm, and say I could meet one, well, it would have to be a certain amazing lady up in Vermont. No, I’m not going to name her, she will know who she is, and a few close mutual friends will too, so lets leave it at that. There are a number of others as well, but as I say, if forced to pick one…Clearly there is one other I would love to have met, but never will in this world now, she died just over 2 years ago now, and again close friends will know who I mean.

Funnily enough, thats one number that I cant see changing this year, unless that certain Vermont lady does take up on my invitation to meet at a certain graveside next month in Rochester, which really would be the perfect place for us to do so. However, given her health issues, and her privacy in such matters, I wont be waiting there for her. I might be meeting up with one of those people again in September, but it will be next month, or thereabouts before I know that for sure.

And to think, at one point I was quite nervous myself about meeting forum friends, but that has changed now I’ve taken that first step. Mind, they are both my sort of age range, which probably helped, I might find some of the younger folk a bit too lively for me lol!

And so to the video, where for some the age of the song may mean the title isnt as much of a giveaway as usual. But this is one of my favourites from a great Yorkshire group, I hope you like it too
