A good heart, in a silver suit

Well, given that the silver bodysuit thread still seems to attract plenty of hits, even now, lets go back to the subject matter. Sadly, despite all those hits, no designer has yet come up with a concept for a really delicious silver (robot) bodysuit as yet, but I’m still hoping that one day…though not with any great expectation.

I could jokingly say that a company called Proteus has actually made an absolutely delicious one, called a Neural Replacement Sheath, but sadly both the company, and the suit, are pure fiction. I wish they werent, but such is life I guess? Well, its not perfect, it only goes up as far as your shoulders, but its not a bad start, just needs a matching helmet, or something for the complete look lol! Mind, the suit does a wonderful job of controlling your body, so just imagine what the matching helmet/headpiece could do to your mind…swoon!

As I say, sadly its pure fiction, as are the Neural Reconfiguration devices, cunningly designed to look like bracelets. But, you provide me the look, I’m sure I can provide the controlled look. And thats assuming you arent the technological genius that makes the process reality in the first place!

Yes, seriously, a relatively new writer to the EMCSA certainly knows how to push my buttons, if only story wise, not literally as yet! If only he could do…I could be a happily controlled robot, or as close as you’re going to get while still human at least.

Whats that, a link to his story? Well, seeing you asked, or didnt as the case may be, its

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/320631

Oh, and the author kindly tells me, that if you use the code ZZ23T when purchasing, you get an extra dollar off the price! So now its an absolute bargain for my readers, so go for it!

And no, he didnt ask me to do this, well not unless he knows how to do mind control, and if thats the case, where’s my NRS suit, I want to know! From here you can also link to his other stuff on sale, but as thats a much longer story, I’ll break you in gently.

Seriously, the ending might not be quite what you expect either. 😉

Ah, the video, well its sort of apt to the ending, but you have to buy the story to find that out. So lets settle for the reason being that he’s a very talented singer from Ulster, where I will be in just over 2 weeks. Apart from that, its a great song, and a few ladies in the video, so all in all, you should find plenty to enjoy…as well as the story. Oh, her name, pure coincidence, I promise you. Well…maybe…?

Writing Again? Must be on holiday!

Yes, after a long interval, I’ve actually written something fresh today. So yes, I must be on holiday, wouldnt have the time to do it otherwise, thats for sure. No, JK Rowling and her friends wont be quaking in their boots at that news. One, bacause its probably not that good, and two, its less than 2000 words long! But yes, it was fun doing it, all the same.

Whats that, is the heroine turned into a robot? Strictly, no, but I reckon Simon would give it an rb tag, all the same. But she might wear silver at one point, and could well be computer controlled, so… You might get a surprise in how she is at the end of the story though, knowing me. 😉 Well, slightly at least lol!

Its funny, isnt it. Many would say that as its Friday evening, my week off work must be over? Wrong, for me, I work pretty much every Saturday, and of late, most Sundays too, so some would say I’ve still got 2 days left! Strictly by my work shifts, its one, as Sunday was one of the days designated as a day off, not holiday. But even so…

Ah well, after the peace of this week, next week will officially be insane at work. For the Brits at least, the words Cheltenham Festival will explain that. For my North American friends, think Breeders Cup, for 4 days, with obstacles instead of flat races, you might get some idea. Though as off course betting barely exists outside of a very few places, maybe not? No, no tips, I wouldnt have a clue, despite my job.

Believe me though, wearing a silver bodysuit, and being turned into a robot might be the easiest way to get through the week at work! And no, for once, I’m not kidding, its not just the fantasy! Well, the fantasy might be fun, but at least being a robot would keep me sane, as a human, that might be a challenge. And yes, I’d enjoy it more too, grin!

Oh, and I know my design requests have met complete silence before, but lets try just once more. Because of light sensitivity, I sleep in a mask, just something that covers the eyes. Snag is, getting it to stay over the eyes all night. So guess what, in a story this week, a night cap is featured. You know, as in a cap that fits over your head, blocking out light, and muffling sound, sounds perfect to me. Alright, the one in the story also featured electrodes that influenced the wearer’s mind, but hey, thats optional. Yes, alright, I’d enjoy it, but the main thing for me (in real life) is a better light blocker at night. Anyone any ideas, or know where I can get one at a sensible price, shout!

Right, the video. Very apt for the story written today, I must say.

Oh, and if anyone wants me to post the story on here, then ask! I wont otherwise, who knows, that might even earn me a comment here, but probably not!

Just What I Always Wanted

Yes, I had one of those shopping moments today, when I found an item I’d always longed to own, but never thought I would find. What is it, a pair of silver trousers! And even better, they were an absolute bargain, just £5!

Yes, alright, for sometime I’ve owned a pair of metallic silver leggings. Yes, great fun for me, but not exactly something that a middle aged woman is going to wear out on the street, lets face it, they are designed for the young, party going types, though I suspect they go in as much for pelmet length skirts as leggings anyway, but…

And yes, I’ve got a few silver tops, including sparkly ones, they seem to be easier to find in all honesty. Some of them are meant to be short dresses, but for me, they are tops lol! With my knees, and things…no chance of being otherwise. Its funny, in recent years, trousers in a multitude of colours have appeared, not just the traditional black, blue and grey. And yes, I have got a nice pair in purple, and a green elasticated pair in my collection already. But a pair in silver, or indeed gold, never seen any, well, not at what I call a sensible price anyway, I’m sure some trendy designers do them at £200 a shot, but I’m not made of money, you know!

So, anyway, cut a long story short. I had an afternoon trip out to Doncaster today. I know, hardly the height of the glamour world, but I like it, all the same. Having scoured the shopping centre down town, I venture outside, as I love strolling around markets (decent one here), and also there is a very good charity shop in that direction too. Yes, found a very nice pair of shoes there (£4.99), comfy brogue type in size 7, just perfect as my current pair are 8’s, and without socks are just a little too big in all honesty. They dont slip off as such, but are loose enough to be annoying, and rub a bit. Err, yes, they are silver btw. These were blue, nice enough for work, but not wide enough sadly. Ah well… I must stop wearing socks, women dont wear socks with shoes, so…

Then I see this shop opposite, everything £5, so the banner in the window said. As one never to miss a bargain, I checked it out. And what do I see, silver trousers! Yes, they had gold too, but…Snag, biggest pair they have is a size 12, and as you know by now, I’m normally a size 14. So I grumble to myself, and leave them on the rail. Go to a bargain shoe shop nearby, find a nice pair in black at £12.99, and buy them, still thinking if only the charity shop pair had fitted…

Anyway, back past this other shop, and I think, well, they’ve got a fitting room, lets try on those size 12’s, and see if they fit. I know they wont, or so I think, but…either they are generously sized, or its a US size thing (no idea, where stock was from btw), but they fit! So unsurprisingly, they came home with me!

The naughty side of me thinks I should wear a silver top, the silver trousers and shoes to work, and see what reaction I get. To be honest, the whole silver thing might be quite apt for the chaotic mayhem that will be Cheltenham festival week at work, but not sure the bosses would see it that way lol! Wonder if I can find a silver hood too lol? 😉

But yes, delighted to find a pair at last, I must say. Probably should have got a gold pair too in hindsight, but too late now! Didnt even look to see if they had my size, but probably did.

The video, an under rated artist from the 80’s, the song title you might have already guessed!

Oh, and as an exclusive for my readers here, the latex skirt arrived today. If you’re good, I might post a picture of me wearing it in a few days time. I know, middle aged women, and latex clothing and all that, but look at it positively, its not a catsuit or anything, so shouldnt look too bad?

I have the dress!

No, not the perfect flapper style dress I saw in TK Maxx in Manchester, that was just a bit too pricey for a one off event, at £99, but it was wonderful, in black and silver. And alright, in theory it might well have been a size too small anyway. But maybe not, judging by my eventual purchase, but there was still the price issue, so… The same store also had a lovely 20’s style dress in teal, but the price tag had disappeared, so no questions asked. It was my size at least, but all the same…

What I had seen in River Island, was a gold dress that could well have been from the same era. No, all 3 were modern dresses, thats for sure, but the style fitted in. Do they have it in my size (UK 14), no, they dont. They have it in 12, they have it in 16, but not in a 14. Then I spot it, a size 12, half price, because a few strands of the waistband were twisted. Now suddenly, at £22.50, that becomes more tempting. But me, in a 12, you have to be joking! But all the same, I take it off to a fitting room and try it on, and though it might be a little bit of a tight fit, I can get in it, in comfort, yay! Thats when I notice the bottom section is very transparent, and I can see my knickers! And if they can be seen, so would my knees, and surgically, they’re not a pretty sight! Problem solved, a pair of gold leggings from elsewhere, and lo and behold, a flapper will go to the works Christmas dinner, whether it counts as fancy dress or just standard posh! Well as ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’ would say, I now have the painted nails on my toes to match, but bobbing my hair might be another challenge. I’m sure I dont have the hair for a Brooksie fringe sadly, but the rest of the look, hmm… A cloche hat has been suggested, but I can hardly wear that while eating dinner, can I? Might look out for one, all the same 😉

Or if anyone has one I can borrow for a night?

Oh, and guilty, for purely personal reasons, I found a half price dress in Primark yesterday, which I couldnt resist. Why, its in silver, darlings, and quite heavy too. Robot type look, oh perish the thought lol! Also found a clutch handbag to match, got that too. No, I wont be wearing the dress on its own, it doesnt come down as far as my knees! But with a pair of already owned (and under used) silver leggings… Sadly no sleeves, so not the perfect robot look, but for £10… Tried it on this morning, and it does cling. Like any good robot suit I guess, you can get into it easily, but getting out again…lol!

And lastly, the Aqua Massager, an amazing experience, and it really does seem to work. Sadly the headphones provided only seem to play music, not brainwashing subliminals, but you cant have everything! 😉

Silver Lady

My thanks actually go to Dave here at home, who indirectly suggested the title of this blog.

Its funny, it used to be a case that when I went shopping, I kept an eye open for silver items of clothing, no prizes for working out why! Alright, as I proved today, I still do. But, and heres the interesting point, my first instinct wasnt robot, though that thought did come to mind, it was that it would work as a 20’s flapper type top/short skirt (just about knee length I guess). So alright, I could have gone for the similar one in black, but hey, old habits die hard lol!

The good news with this, as opposed to the last 20’s style item I bought, its machine washable, yay! I also bought a new handbag, or more strictly a shoulder bag in green. Hasnt got an outside pocket (generally a must with me, for train pass etc), but otherwise, perfect. Got a little blue purse/card holder thing, to help with finding it in the bag though. How much for all 3, just £11! Top/skirt was massively reduced, the others less so, but still cheaper than they should have been. I know, the recession isnt good for everyone, but give me the chance of an appealing bargain, and… 🙂

Its funny, you think you’ve got a week off, you should be able to get things done. Indirectly, yes, I have, but in terms of reading and writing, no chance! Both Monday and yesterday had appointments to keep which took up most of the day, and alright, today I just wanted to get out! Was a good shopping expedition, even if the bus travel wasnt. Arriva buses, take a bow, but only of shame! Tomorrow, I will get some reading done, I will, I must!

The video, yes, not hard to work out, a song from the late seventies, by the title of…oh, you’ve worked it out, why tell you. The shock, its a live one, and unlike so many ‘celebrity’ singers, David Soul clearly could sing!
