Who’s going to fly you home?

I just hope no one takes this as bad taste, given where the death happened, but seriously, with what his extra challenge in life was,  its just all too apt.

Yesterday was the day, in an ideal world, I would have been in Pine Bush, New York, for their UFO based celebration event. Its fair to say that even if my brain hadnt gone faulty a couple of months ago, I probably wouldnt have got there this year. Assuming that I’m still permitted to fly to the US post neurologist visit next month, it might remain on the calendar for next year, and being realistic, it doesnt look like I will need to book time off work by then. Money might be more of an issue, so if a passing alien has a space in a flying saucer heading to the event then, yes, I’d love to hitch a ride! Hey, having to wear (temporary, or permanent) a full body alien body suit would only be seen as a bonus. But yes, if I do it, regardless of any spacecraft, a really good alien bodysuit will be an absolute must!

Therefore there was a certain amount of irony this morning when I got up, switched on the laptop to discover that one of the most famous Ufologist’s, Stanton Friedman had passed away yesterday at the age of 84. Why the earlier comment? Well, he passed away at Toronto Airport, on his way home from giving a talk. No, he was flying on a standard plane, honest he was!

Never heard of him? Well, in all likelihood, without him, we would never have had the theory of the Roswell incident, back in 1947, when of course its supposed an Alien space craft crashed near Roswell, New Mexico, and the US Government tried to cover it all up. Even today, over 70 years on, the whole area is shrouded in secrecy. No, I wasnt on that craft, but if, according to Eric at least, any of my relatives were, is an entirely different matter, lol! In truth, I doubt we will ever know if they did, or didnt, lets face it.

He worked on classified projects for many years, so if anyone knew, or suspected it was true, he’d be high on the list of candidates.

So RIP Mr Friedman, probably the closest we’ve ever coming to discovering more about the Roswell Incident, and now probably ever will.

I know, the song is about driving home, not flying, but it still rhymes. The other thought I had, looking at the video, at the end of Mental Health Awareness week, is just how apt it is for that too.

Loving the alien

I must admit, when I saw earlier today that today was Alien day, I assumed it was something relating to our friends from Outer Space, who according to Eric at least, include me in their numbers. Yes, I only wish! I knew there was a UFO fair somewhere near Stacie, in New York State sometime soon, but thats 3 weeks tomorrow, seemingly.

No, this one relates to the film of the same name, which was first released to the public 40 years ago today. How many sequels have we have since then? Way too many I’m sure, as Hollywood seems to lack for original ideas, lets face it.

Actually, no, I’ve never seen any of the films? Modern horror has never been a big thing for me, as I cant see the pleasure in being scared to death. I know, I went and saw ‘It’ but my disclaimer is that I had no idea what the film was about at the time I agreed to go and see it. I survived, but put it this way, I wont be rushing to see the sequel!

But yes, I knew, even before my brain went AWOL that I was getting old. When you find out that the original Alien film is now 40 years old, it doesnt make me feel any younger!

Yes, I’ll stick to trying to make contact with those aliens with flying saucers, and spaceships, who are probably likely to do nothing more horrible than anal probing (eek!), or brainwashing (which I’d enjoy too much), sorry. Talking of which, if anyone has a place on a spaceship/flying saucer, heading to Pine Bush, New York in 3 weeks time, let me know. Alien suit coming off again is purely optional! 😉

OK, video time. One of those lesser known, but very apt David Bowie tracks from long ago.

Another Pine Bush Saturday

OK, lets go crazy and give Stacie the daily double tonight, seeing she tipped me off about this, for very obvious reasons tonight, when I went to tell her about the other blog being posted!

I would say lets get one of those money raising things done to get me there in May this year (ideally flight by UFO, though Jet Plane more practical), but in truth, its a bit of a no go. Mainly its only 6 weeks away, and that doesnt give much time, especially given (standard) air ticket would need to be purchased in advance. Secondly, its about 50 miles from where Stacie lives, and I have no idea of her availability, hotel availability, or what public transport is like in the area.

Of course, this year there is also the ‘little’ matter of my current health situation, not good. So even allowing for travel insurance (hmm, as already hold annual policy), there is the fact that its probably not wise to try and cross the Atlantic at the moment, when I regard getting into Huddersfield as a challenge! But for 2020? As its been going since 2011, there is a good chance it will happen… Well? I would definitely need to also find a really good alien suit for that too!

Maybe a friendly alien has flying saucer, space station base, and bodysuit (optional as to whether removable again) that can help me out for this year, or next? Or maybe I ask my friend Matt, at Warner Brothers, if he has a suitable alien bodysuit I could loan, somewhere around the Burbank site…?

The funniest irony? I would actually have been on holiday that day, first day of my booked May holiday! Whereas now, I’m off until at least mid June, probably a whole lot longer!

But yes, the 2020 Pine Bush UFO Fair, me there as an alien, health permitting, why, I’d love to! So yes, as I say, Stacie got the daily double today!

The video.n Well, close to the title. Most people see this as a Monkees song, and why not? Well, Carole King actually helped to write it, so…

But for those who prefer the ‘more famous’ version
