I’ll meet you at…

Well, according to the video, it would be at midnight, but as I’m generally sound asleep in bed by then, earlier might be wiser lol. Might make an exception for a robotising scientist I guess, but otherwise, forget it!

Yes, its that delicious irony, all those people on the forums that I’ve spoken to for years, and I’ve met 2! Thats probably 2 up on many, but in a way, its a shame. Alright, in real life, there are probably a few I wouldnt want to meet, but equally there are several that I would love to do just that with. There is one other I might have met, though without knowing it, but in all honesty, thats not really the same thing.

Twist my arm, and say I could meet one, well, it would have to be a certain amazing lady up in Vermont. No, I’m not going to name her, she will know who she is, and a few close mutual friends will too, so lets leave it at that. There are a number of others as well, but as I say, if forced to pick one…Clearly there is one other I would love to have met, but never will in this world now, she died just over 2 years ago now, and again close friends will know who I mean.

Funnily enough, thats one number that I cant see changing this year, unless that certain Vermont lady does take up on my invitation to meet at a certain graveside next month in Rochester, which really would be the perfect place for us to do so. However, given her health issues, and her privacy in such matters, I wont be waiting there for her. I might be meeting up with one of those people again in September, but it will be next month, or thereabouts before I know that for sure.

And to think, at one point I was quite nervous myself about meeting forum friends, but that has changed now I’ve taken that first step. Mind, they are both my sort of age range, which probably helped, I might find some of the younger folk a bit too lively for me lol!

And so to the video, where for some the age of the song may mean the title isnt as much of a giveaway as usual. But this is one of my favourites from a great Yorkshire group, I hope you like it too

Respect Yourself!

This could be a command to someone from Mistress Stevie Lou, but I’m not the one to say that lol! I must say the image of me as a Latex, or Leather clad Domme is more likely to give me a fit of the giggles than anything wholesomely Dominant, but anyway…I guess an image of me clad like that might be fun, but cant somehow see me making a full time career of it somehow! But as an image to play up to, well its as much fun as the robot one, it has to be said!

The thing is, I’m one of those people who typically plod along in their everyday life, nothing terribly exciting, and enjoying a couple of nice holidays each year, but the rest of the year, work hard, not play terribly hard, it has to be said. Just my simple, economic style, and hey, I’m happy with that. The snag is, then someone goes and suggests something lightheartedly, and I start thinking, hey, thats not a bad idea. Which is why I’ve spent time today on Expedia and Hotels.com looking at short breaks to a certain Portugese city. ūüėČ No, I dont really blame S.B., but I wish I didnt get tempted like this sometimes, though maybe not often.

No, I dont plan to go out there and become his Mistress or anything. Heck, I dont even expect to play at being his Mistress if I do get out there anyway. And for sure I dont expect to be greeted by a latex catsuit lol! But I know he’d like to meet fellow Garden members, last September got me up for doing the same, so…and besides Portugal is far warmer than here at present, been a filthy day to be honest, and havent ventured out at all.

I know, its not a fortune, but I’m not that far away (relatively) from retirement, so probably ought to be hanging on to my money, but…he’s got the idea in my head now, thats the trouble! The thing is, with the holiday only being 3 weeks off, I havent long to think about it, and me and snap decisions, well…not really my style! I know, its crazy, but I’m tempted. Going to think it over to the weekend (incredibly I’ve got a Saturday off this week!), and take it from there. I would love to say its 50/50, but I know how dangerous that is with me! I tend to go yes, lets do it¬†from there!

It was nice to see a pic of S.B. appear this week, I know what a tricky choice that is, I went down the same road myself before posting the one of me. Will I meet him later this month, lets call it a possible, and leave it at that.

The music, some will see the in joke here, others wont. Apologies, Bruce Willis is not the greatest singer (to put it mildly) of all time, but this just seems to fit so well, for more reasons than one. Try to enjoy, or get the in joke at least!

A robotunit in Boston, Part 2

Well today is the first¬†day I get to ‘wreck’ Boston single handed lol! I’ll be fine, have done this in plenty of other cities, so stop worrying Kate!

No prizes for working out that I might be heading to MIT Museum, hoping they will transform me into one of their latest robot exhibits, but wont hold my breath on that lol! Then just planning to head back downtown for some lunch, and see where the mood takes me from there.

So what do I need to catch avid readers up on? Sunday was fun, we went out for lunch, and as Garden readers at least might know, the temptation to run down walkers who insisted on walking in the street, despite pavements (sidewalks as they seem to be called over here) existed, but anyway…I got to see New England play, and win, also got to see bits of Buffalo playing and winning once the Jets were home and dry. Well, almost saw Buffalo win, the TV station in their ‘wisdom’ left the game with 27 seconds to go, and the Bills parked on the 6 yard line, needing to score to win. Alright, we all know they did, but waiting for that news to filter through…even¬† more so when the last play news only reached my ears 2 hours later.

Yesterday was Fenway,¬† an amazing place. I was pampered by a very dear person, and went in the Pavillion suite, a real experience for someone like me. We had a couple of photos taken before going in, and I’m only pleasantly surprised just how good I look in them. Kate looks wonderful anyway, but no, no link to the photos will be provided lol. They are expensive to buy, but I’m tempted all the same, I dont often get good pictures of me to be honest.

Yes, next special event is Thursday, when I get to meet this wonderful gentleman I’ve known over the internet for a while. Hopefully he’s blushing as he reads this, looking forward to meeting you greatly.

Thats pretty much all the news, hope MIT have got the robotising gear ready for me, lol! Holding breath for that to happen, nope lol!

A Robotunit in Boston, part 1

Still waiting for MIT to come and take me off for robotisation, but anyway…lol!

Yes, its happened, I’ve met a fellow Garden person now for definite, and what a wonderful person she is too! Doesnt look at all like her avvie, but otherwise…I suspect I’ll be saying that same about an equally wonderful person after Thursday as well!

Its a funny thing, you can never be sure how things will work out in such matters, but with Kate and I, its worked a treat. We had a wonderful time talking over dinner last night, and indeed before then, and had a great time.  Yes, a lot of it did concern sport, as well as other matters, but neither of us were complaining about that. Heading out later with her for more fun and mayhem, and hopefully to catch at least part of some games this afternoon, the only thing lacking in my lovely suite here, being a TV! Its more fun getting out and about anyway.

Yes, its fair to say that I was a bit nervous about meeting someone else from the Forum’s before it happened, but now I’m not worried in the slightest about it. As long as no one actually expects me to be silver, and talk in a monotone voice, all is fine! I always was looking forward to my next meeting with someone from the Garden anyway, even more so now, it will be a wonderful event, and one I’m really looking forward to. Of course, it does take¬†two to tango as they say, so there will be many I never meet, some I’d love to, some maybe less so. Of¬† course Kate may not have been the first, Nab might have been, though we would never have known it.

Now supposedly, in Buffalo next September,….well you never know! ūüėČ

What did we do before the internet?

Mind, I suspect I might have a few readers here who dont remember that time lol! But equally, there are others who are nearly as mature as me who will remember such times. Or do we?

To be honest, I’m not sure I do anymore! Its about 11 years now that I’ve had a computer of some kind or another. And alright, about 12 years ago someone asked me about buying a computer, and I said, quote, what would I need one for? Oh, was I wrong! I actually started off buying some relatively cheap internet TV thing, simply to see what it was like, not expecting to go far with it, but I was quickly hooked, and within a few months had ordered my own new PC. By todays standards it was slow, basic, and my internet connection was dial up, thats another thing thats changed dramatically!

Over the years I’ve upgraded a few times (sadly still waiting for my cybernetic upgrade though) as computers have improved. In fact the last year or so, I havent had a PC, just a good class laptop, as sitting downstairs with it on my lap is far¬†preferable to having to¬†lurk in my bedroom! Not sure I’m more sociable at home because of that, but guess I must be?

The funny thing is, in real life I’ve never been a big one for friends. I have a few close ones, but that really is about it in real life. And yes, I keep pretty much to myself at work too in all honesty. The funny thing is, I have a good number of cyber friends who I’ve never met (well, possibly have met one, but we wouldnt have known it), and in most cases, are never likely to meet, but all the same I feel some sort of connection to. Its still sort of funny to think that in 2 weeks time…but no, its not the first time I’ve done this sort of thing.

After about 6 months on the net, and chatting to someone reasonably regularly on the net, she invited me across to meet her in Richmond. And after a few days thought, I said yes. Most people thought I was crazy, but I did it. And yes, it worked, we did get along, and the friendship actually lasted about 3¬†years before we drifted apart, so¬†meeting people from the net can work, whatever people say. Its weird when you first meet, but after that, well hopefully all will be fine. Its funny, I’ve talked to James so often, in chat, roleplay and just on forum matters, that I feel fine about meeting him, and I guess it will be nice to have a voice to put to the wonderful words he writes. Kate I know far less well, but suspect it will be fun to do so.

If all goes well, one year from now I might be heading to Buffalo to meet…lets see how this goes first! Its been a while since I met anyone like this, so lets just take baby steps for now. And no, infantilism really isnt a fetish of mine, despite writing a story about¬†it.¬† And no this isnt my main video posting blog, but this seemed sort of suitable?

If things work out, I’m hoping in the next few days to do something unique, an identical posting on both blogs, hopefully the reason is obvious, if a sad one.
