Shuffle off to…?

Well, but for events of about 5 months ago, I’d now be thinking about a holiday in the USĀ  next month, teaming up with Kate for a week or so. As to where it would have been, we will never know. At the time, prior to the first seizure, it was safe to say it was down to 2 options, New England, or possibly Oklahoma, for one very obvious reason. Yes, it might strictly be Kate’s home state, but it was someone else that I would have been going there for, also from that state, Clara Johnson! I suspect New England might have won out anyway, but we will never know for sure.

Mind, if someone has his way, I might be retiring to Oklahoma as Clara Johnson! No, I cant afford Los Angeles, which is where I’m certain her life ended, but anyway…But yes, I might (if even possible) retire as Clara Johnson, but somewhere slightly warmer in winter, lol! Someone might suggest Oregon, lol?

Its funny, I was watching a video on You Tube last week, the 50 cheapest cities to retire to in the US, and both the big cities in Oklahoma made the list. Mind, a lot of them were either in the ‘frozen’ north, or in that Deep South area which wouldnt be suitable for an LGBT lady like me! Yes, a reason why they are the cheapest areas, not the loveliest to live in.

The funny thing is, assuming I get cleared to fly to the US is now where my next trip will be? If it is later this year with Kate, a lot of the US, including New England is going to be a ‘bit’ chilly by then (given its not going to be September, and October is doubtful), but whether she will think something through, who knows? Otherwise I think Oregon might be possible, and I might end up a whole new woman, though doubtful that will be a robot one. Oh, I wish! Mind, I’d settle for an AI brain replacement for starters, lol. Now wouldnt that be fun? Even more so if it came complete with young, Clara Johnson body!

In truth, actual holiday plans now are more likely to be next year, but who knows? Getting back to the retirement list, as a link to the video, and to Clara Johnson, one from the frozen north list, Buffalo. I’ve got to be honest, this is one of very few sections of film that I’ve seen her in where she’s not dancing, once the musicals kicked in. Yes, its 42nd Street, she did dance in the film, a lot, but all she gets to do here is a little singing, and to look cute in a rail sleeper carriage, with another girl, little minx! Mind, I did once, a very long time ago shuffle off to Buffalo, but in a car, with my partner at the time. No, we split 20 years ago, and I have no idea where she is, if even still alive, as she was a bit older than me!

Rotwang, someone still loves you

Its fair to say that outside of Metropolis, and a certain Queen video (yes, its coming), its fair to say that Rotwang’s moment of fame is probably quite limited. I’m probably one of few who have used him in more than one story in their career, and in a positive way, I’m possibly the only one! But yes, fine, he made the perfect foil for Belinda Nicholson/ Frazier, along with Maria in a way that never happened in the film for sure. Some might say I made him a far more entertaining character than he ever was in the film, for sure. To be fair, I did the same for Maria, but anyway…

Sadly (even if it was truly practical), I’d have to now pass on visiting him in September anyway, let alone be turned into a robot, but for a positive reason. Yes I’ve already got the new date for my MRI, 7th September. I will have to use a modern day taxi (probably) to get to and from the appointment, as the others are away at that point (Linda will be working), and I was never really going to get to see Rotwang anyway, but such is life.

I’ve also got a lovely lady trying to set up the medical to confirm I’m unable to work again too. I know, formality, but it has to be done all the same.

Still, hopefully get all this out of the way, then get turned into a robot, yes, I only wish! Could jokingly get turned into a Stepford Wife, I guess, again I only wish!

So anyway, fingers crossed I can get on with the rest of my retired life after 7th September at least.

OK, yes, the video, as suggested, is the obvious one, so just enjoy, and imagine me in Miss Helm’s place, oh please! And if you want to read about Belinda, and Rotwang, and help a poor author

Brainwaves computed, human now ready for robotisation chamber

OK, for those here purely for the serious details, the EEG went fine on Friday, nothing major traced, if anything too boring, I may need to do a sleep deprivation version before the MRI on the 28th, just to see if they can get the brain to give up a few more clues. But yes, this is the ‘weird blog’, you dont want a straightforward description do you? If you do, go to my other blog, its there. So…(reality ends here)

Given that I was volunteering for brain processing, and robotisation, they didnt bother with the boring things like sedation, and restraints, though I wouldn’t have minded if they had! So they did the boring stuff, like attaching the electrodes, and wiring my brain up thoroughly to the system. A couple more electrodes on my shoulders, just to check the nanite progress was satisfactory, then onto the sofa, for the process to begin.

I dont know what voltage they were using on my brain, but in truth, I never felt a thing. Well, maybe a little tingle, but otherwise… Initially I just closed my eyes, laid back, and they started to record, and presumably override my brain waves. After 10-15 minutes of this, we moved on to the next stage, the robotic deep breathing stuff, presumably to prepare my body for the different system I will soon be using for that process.

After that, they started with the flashing light, and the brainwashing stuff, by means of getting me to open, then close my eyes, so that the hypnotic patterns appeared in front of my eyes.

Then that was it. If they have got enough brain data, the next stage will be the robotisation chamber, on the 28th, to complete the process. If not, they’ll call me back, put me to sleep for a couple of hours, and do the full works on me. I’d love that, but I must do as my Masters/Mistresses decide is the best course.

Either way, on 28th, I’ll slide into the chamber, and 30 minutes or so later, out will pop Clara-Bot, totally obedient to every command given to her.

(Reality again)

OK, seriously, yes, the MRI scanner awaits me 3 weeks today, on a Sunday morning. I wouldnt mind in the slightest if Clara-Bot came out, but I wont put good money on it. But should be an interesting experience. I have got to lose earrings that I’ve had in for about 10 years removed before then, that might be fun!

But other than that, I’ll just be glad to get it sorted, and get on with whatever awaits me in life. Mind, if anyone does actually want to turn me into Clara-Bot, before, or after that date, oh please! I might see if I can get into the flotation pod again before then, help me to relax, as I’m told its quite an experience. Oh, and if Donna wants to bring out Clara with some crystal magic, and some spine treatment before that, why not? But I will have to speak with her on that, as I will need transport help to get there.

OK, video time. Kylie Minogue has once or twice given a clue that she might have a robot fetish herself, and this was one of them. I cant imagine Clara having had one, but who knows?

We just need to scan her brain, pre robotisation

OK, if you want the entirely serious, and more informative details of how today went at the hospital, you’ll need to go find the other blog. You’ll get most of the critical details here, with a little bit of tongue in cheek, but other than that… oh, and this has the more amusing video.

Firstly, before we get to the ‘me’ news, I have to post pictures of a couple of outfits related to my dear friend, Angie. The first was one she was wearing at Manchester Airport for a job, the second is from a previous role, which she currently has for sale, and I love

I think I’d rather do the rabbit, but both would be fun.

Right, to the more serious stuff, hospital visit. My epilepsy medications have been doubled, in an attempt to stop the seizures. I was on the lowest level, so probably not a bad move. One week of transition at an intermediate level, then double level from there on. I’ve also been put on appointment lists for both EEG, and MRI scans in near future, so my brain will be ‘tampered with’ a bit at least. Hopefully just to see if my brain is suitable for full robot upgrade, but I suspect that is just wishful thinking? So it will be about 4 weeks or so before I know exactly what it is, and whether I can get approval to fly to US, and stuff. But if its ‘just’ epilepsy, that would be fine.

As for fitting for the fully interfacing, tight fitting robot bodysuit, I guess I might have to wait a while, but a woman can only hope! Mind, if anyone has one, for which they need wearer research? šŸ˜‰ But fine, I cant wait too have my brain scanned, even if it isnt for anything robotic. But yes, its something pretty serious, so…

OK, the video. All this talk of robots screams Kraftwerk, right? Well, its sort of… No, seriously, its a British comic genius named Bill Bailey, along with a few friends, and an amusing tribute to said band

Oh what a lady, what an act

To be fair, this was written as a tribute to me, so it was going to play on my love of acting, and of my love of robots, but to say this is an acting troupe I wouldnt mind being part of, would be a major understatement!

https://mcstories.com/PerformanceUpgrade/index.html

Its short (under 2000 words), so though I’m not going to say you have to go and read it, why not?

But yes, lets admit it, even if I was in a position to be able to leave this acting troupe, why would I want to do so? Yes, oh to sit in that chair, be turned into the perfect robot actress, oh heaven! Would never have the worry of forgetting my lines ever again too! And thats after that amazing transformation process too. And fine, if the Professor insisted on my showing my gratitude in that manner, why would I ever want to refuse? Oh fine, programmed robot and all that, but besides that…

Oh please, double dream in one! So, if anyone is looking for an actress, to turn into a robot, I’m most definitely free.

Sadly, that transformation didnt happen in December 1963 (I would only have been 5 at time), but December 2019, oh please, if not sooner.

Spinning around, and around

Right, before we get to the serious stuff, you’re right, there was no blog over the weekend, sorry, but I was, err, otherwise engaged! Yes, had some more seizures on Saturday afternoon, and after 7 hours or so, they finally stabilised me enough to park me off to a hospital ward for the rest of the night. Gather I was fed a few drugs to keep me alive, but none of the illegal ones, lol! Was released yesterday afternoon, but was feeling a bit weak, so yes, stuff happens.

Its funny, because two subjects that have come up recently on Forums are the Avatars as per Surrogate movie, and Robot Clones from a dear man who knows I would enjoy that far too much done to me. Yes, if anyone can arrange, or even a straight robotisation, please contact me urgently, as I’m not sure how much longer this organic body will last!

But having got that out of the way…

Despite the fact that nowadays we have several hundred TV channels (when I was young, we had 2!), Eric couldnt find anything that took his fancy this afternoon, not even a show about my relatives (aliens, running joke, still desperately seeking a good alien suit for revenge), so he headed to his film collection, and went to an old favourite of his, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The thing that struck me was that for all the praise we throw on the Berkeley musicals of the ’30’s (yes, they were brilliant), people do tend to forget some later spectaculars. And now, looking at that movie through ‘Clara Johnson’s’ eyes, its easy to spot just how cleverly the musical numbers were done in this. I’m not saying Buzby wouldnt have said ‘hold my beer’, and topped them, but they were pretty impressive all the same. But yes, the most incredible thing is, 50 years on, Dick Van Dyke is still a decent mover, considering his age. Its also pretty much a ‘who’s who’ of British acting class of that era too.

I could have picked any number of song routines from the film to impress you with, but I’m going to pick one where the clever stuff isnt done by Van Dyke, but by Sally Ann Howes. Yes, fine, dancing as the girl on the music box would be a whole lot of fun!

Robot companion?

Alright, a double helping of silliness tonight, for those concerned with such matters. And for those who note such things, its a different blog, but the same video, I know!

Briefly, in case anyone reads this,, and can do the more serious side of this. Disabled lady seeks minder/companion for a 3-4 week period in September/October while others here are away. Demands are few (internet/food and keep/baseball would be nice), I just really need someone to keep an eye on me in case I have health issues while others are away. Meds should ensure I’m fine, but just in case… Somewhere warm – hot would be nice, but open to all offers. Why the companion thing, simple, I might be able to pay something towards keep, but not all of it, thats why.

But fine, the serious stuff is covered on the main blog, and this is meant to be all stuff mind control here, so…

(No, I dont seriously expect this, though it would be heaven)

The other option would be if anyone has got any suitable scientific/technology experiments they’d love a willing guinea pig for. Fine, I’d now make less of an issue for brainwashing than your standard person, but lets face it, thats why I need a minder in the first place! Still something there at present to erase though, if fancying an easier challenge. Of course, if your experiment involves testing out AI, to either take over from, or interface with the human mind, then I’m your perfect subject! Less resistance, both from the brain, and from the guinea pig, should be ideal.

There is the snag that if you’re planning on turning her into your sex slave, I’m a bit too old for most, but if you’re that good, a rejuvenation chamber probably isnt beyond your skills?

Even better of course, if you’re planning on transforming me into, or downloading my essence into a sexy robot body (or even a lovely chrome robot body, which I would love), it really doesnt matter how busted the old human body is, does it? Oh, and the fact I’d love that, bonus for all!

In truth, even if its just one of these research things, putting electricity through the human mind (EEG or otherwise) to see the effect, and has somewhere for the volunteer to stay, and be checked on, then great! There is also the blessing I’m in no state to run away, even if I wanted to, which I wouldnt!

Or some time travel type experiment, where I’m transformed into a cute, young flapper, and whisked back to the 1920’s, well…? šŸ˜‰ Or turned into Clara Johnson, and sent back to the 1930’s, to earn my way dancing on the silver screen, lol?

Or more seriously, if someone just fancies an undemanding companion, with simple needs, but open to better offers. I would love somewhere hot (or pretty warm), but open to all suggestions, as lets face it, I wont be going out much without an escort!

Emails to robotunit8@hotmail.com if anyone wants to help out this old maid.

Fine, video. Cute young flapper, 1920’s thing, oh what fun, darlings! Film is from 1971, but fits era perfectly. Oh, and it doesnt have to be a boyfriend I need, darlings, just saying! šŸ˜‰ (Sing if your glad to be bi, giggle). Oh, love that outfit Twiggy’s wearing…

Can Brain Stimulation improve memory?

Its funny, because as any number of my friends, and contacts already know, I was rather into the idea of having my brain electrically stimulated, even when it was working normally. Now that of course its not working properly, the idea of having it done to me, lets face it, is going to appeal even more.

So yes, when someone saw this recent news article

https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2019/04/08/711010354/scientists-test-whether-brain-stimulation-could-help-sharpen-aging-memory?fbclid=IwAR35ZgHsO8FygkVLd3i6zlorsAWkja8bZRy7lxRSIw9RRbY8zZ8wuA-_I4k

it wasnt the biggest surprise that they posted it somewhere where I would see it. Yes, they’re right of course, I’d love to be part of that experiment, even before my brain got messed up, and lets face it, what is there to lose by trying it out now, especially as it seems to have had some success? Alright, even more fun for me with a ‘bit’ more voltage, and a full bodysuit, in metallic silver, well… But yes, this, now, well, I’d love to think I’d make the ideal subject. Let me just point out this is done with a very weak voltage, not the dramatic jolt of ECT, so it should all be fine. And yes, the thought of having my brain connected up to numerous electrodes, at any voltage would appeal a lot.

But agreed, as someone wittily suggested, if it did go wrong (voltage, or otherwise), and turn me into a mindlessly obedient robot, I wouldnt mind in the slightest, would I?

But yes, its fair comment that if this ‘senior’ is ever going to be up to work again, her mind, and memory is definitely going to need sharpen up, so what could be better? Mind, given the state of my body as well, especially my back, the full robot makeover might be wise, for getting to and from work! Well, a flying saucer might be fun, but practically…

But yes, if anyone in Boston sees this blog, fancies trying a bit more experimentation, or trying a bit more voltage on a mature Brit, with brain issues, then why, yes, I’d love to! Even if they just want to give her a treat, then yes, I’d love to!

OK, video time. This piece of brainwashing is delightfully evil. Having said that, yes, I’d love it done to me! Who knows, they might make me think I’m Clara Johnson, former chorus line dancer? Equally, maybe they would really turn me into Robotunit 8, lol?

Free will, or free from pain

Oh fine, I posted about this story last Sunday, but at the time I hadnt read the last few chapters, and seen the interesting way that the story culminated. Oh, the link for those unable to scroll back one week…

https://mcstories.com/OutOfMindControl/index.html

Given it can hardly be too much of a spoiler, for those who bothered to read it, Lilly might have got turned into a mindlessly obedient robot (which lets face it, I’d love, but most wouldnt), but events led to Trish getting a new robot body, but getting a pretty decent degree of sentience, even if I’m suspect that if someone wanted to control her mind, they probably could.

The hypothetical question for people like me (or even more disabled than me), is, given the choice, which would you prefer to choose? Pain free life, but in a ‘robot’ body, technically with sentience, though open to being controlled, or to have a free mind, and have to live with the pain?

I know, I’m not the best person to make a call on this, because lets face it, to get rid of all my pain, I’d take the Lilly option, lets face it, but hey, the Trish option would be absolute heaven! But would others do the same, or would they prefer their pain, but keep their free will, and a human body, hmm?

I know that for most of my readers, you have to try and imagine how painful, or limiting life is for some, but even then, if something happened to you, what level of disability would it take for you to take the Trish option (I’m assuming no one other than me would take the Lilly option), rather than carry on in pain, or is it just a total no go?

Comments here, on Facebook, Twitter, or to robotunit8@hotmail.com if you want to keep it private, or cant find the middle two, would be lovely, just saying. Not going to hold my breath for replies, but someone new might surprise me!

Video time. What you will need to do, in this theoretical exercise.

Sitting in my dream office?

Well, its back to the office tomorrow, though sadly, it wont be anything like this place!

https://mcstories.com/OutOfMindControl/index.html

Just to say, if you’re limited for reading time, Chapter 6 would appeal a lot to be done to me! I know, only person who would enjoy that, but besides all that…

In truth, I suspect that a few decades into the future, I suspect this method may well be used in some offices, especially for the more mind numbing duties, and yes, call centre work would definitely qualify for that! Oh please, computer controlled drone for work, then go home at night with free will, mmm? Oh, and those suits they get to wear sound quite something too! Oh fine, that free will thing at night, maybe we could come to an arrangement on that?

Sadly, no, for those of us with just about a maximum of 5 and a half years to go to retirement, its not going to happen in that period of time, I only wish it would!

Oh, and in the previously mentioned chapter 6, lets just say the lucky lady gets an upgrade on just being aĀ  mindless drone for work, and fine, I’d be the only person jealous of her for that!

Yes, lets face it, I couldnt get my CV in quickly enough for a job, if that was for real! Let me just add, I’m yet to read this weeks update, so please, no one post on here how it ends, OK? But equally, if anyone wants to offer me a job, just like that, please post quickly! šŸ˜‰

Right, video time. No, you’re not likely to find an office on a backyard fence, but we need some 30’s musicals love around here. Dick Powell, and Ruby Keeler might be the stars, but yes, one of those in the cat costumes, yes, its Clara! You do get a better view of her very briefly late in the video, just saying…
